Ingram receives midseason honor

USC defensive end Melvin Ingram was selected to Sports Illustrated's first-team midseason All-American squad.

The fifth-year senior has 5.5 sacks, nine tackles for losses, two fumble recoveries for touchdowns, two interceptions and six passes broken up and deflected.

The 6-foot-2, 276-pound North Carolina native also ran for a 68-yard score off a fake punt at Georgia.
