Dreher senior Brandon Sanders career in USA Track and Field has already taken him around the world to the Junior Olympics in Singapore where he placed fourth in the 200-meters in 2011, and a No. 4 ranking in the world.
Now, his college career will start close to home at the University of South Carolina.
Sanders, who won gold in the state 100 and 200 in each of his first three years as a Blue Devil, announced his choice of South Carolina over Clemson and Ohio State during a signing ceremony at the school Today.
The Gamecocks track and field team, headed by coach Curtis Frye, is a great fit for Sanders, he said, because of the combination of educational opportunities and the program's history of success.
Sanders achievements include Junior Olympic and National Championship gold and silver medals, with coaches Daniel Brooks and Bennie Issac.
