Moody still hearing from Gamecocks

March 26, 2012

ATH Mykal Moody of Conway has offers from NC State, Ole Miss and Kentucky and says Clemson has given him a verbal offer.

"They told me they've offered but they're waiting on my ACT score," Moody said. "The Gamecocks are showing a lot of interest too."

Other schools have shown interest including Georgia Tech. "I haven't taken any visits lately because I've been working on with my SAT and ACT coaches to improve my score," he said. "I'm focusing on my grades."

Moody does plan to attend spring games at Clemson and Georgia Tech. He also has plans to attend several camps this summer including Clemson, USC and NC State. Moody has not visited Kentucky or Ole Miss but is considering trips to both schools before his summer break.

He visited NC State last season when Clemson was in town and liked what he saw. "It went really well," said Moody. "They have a pretty good atmosphere and the coaches are really laid back. It was a good visit."

Moody does not have a leader. The Tigers and Gamecocks are schools of interest for the Conway product.
