Hill finds a lot to like at USC

April 1, 2012

DL Michael Hill of Pendleton was at USC's junior day Saturday with his parents and got a good look at the football and academic opportunities the Gamecocks can afford him.

"He had a great visit," Pendleton coach Paul Sutherland said. Sutherland was also at USC attending the coaches clinic. "He especially loved the interior lines and they get after it. He especially liked how Coach Lawing and Coach Elliott get after it. He really enjoyed the academic side. He's going to be a business finance major. He also spoke with Coach Spurrier."

Hill is on spring break this week and will spend the week in Atlanta and might visit Georgia Tech while there. He is going to Clemson April 9th for a scrimmage. And he will visit Florida, Alabama, Ohio State and Michigan early in the summer. After those visits, he will narrow his list.

Tennessee also is a school of strong interest for him. Auburn, LSU, Florida State and Michigan State are also intersted in offering him if he'll come in for a one day camp.

Hill remains open and does not have any favorites at this point.
