Linebacker Kight Dallas of Lithonia, Ga., committed to South Carolina on Thursday while visiting the campus with his mother and a friend.
Dallas was offered by USC defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward a few weeks ago, and Thursday was his first visit to the school.
"South Carolina is beautiful," he said. "I loved the campus and the stadium. I love everything about South Carolina."
Dallas (6-2 220) said the Gamecocks like him as a Will linebacker or a spur.
"They will have room on the depth chart because of people graduating," he said. "I like how their defense can adjust to almost any offense. They are athletic and fast."
Dallas also has offers from Wake Forest, Auburn, North Carolina and N.C. State.
He's also visited Clemson, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Troy, Middle Tennessee State and Wake Forest, and said he might take some more visits.
Dallas is the fourth commitment of the 2013 class for the Gamecocks.
