USC has Alabama QB in for visit

April 9, 2012

Quarterback Jeremy Johnson (6-6 215) of Montgomery, AL visited USC last Friday and Saturday to watch the Gamecocks practice and scrimmage.

Johnson said he talked at length with his recruiter Grady Brown. “He was telling me South Carolina can be a great fit for me,” Johnson said. “He wants me to come back to talk with Coach Spurrier and Coach Mangus. I feel like they are close to offering.” Johnson said he did not get the chance to talk to Spurrier on his visit and spoke only briefly with Mangus.

Johnson has offers from LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Houston and Alabama State. He has also visited Ole Miss and LSU and has no other visits planned. He does not have favorites.

Last season Johnson passed for 2700 yards and 26 touchdowns.
