The Garnet team defeated the Black team 30-14 in the annual Spring Football Game in front of an announced crowd of 25,157.
Unfortunately, the game had to be cut short after starting receiver Dion LeCorn suffered a broken leg with 0:55 left in the game.
Despite the injury to LeCorn, it was a productive day for the USC offenses.
Stephen Garcia completed 13 of 20 passes for 144 yards and two TDs. All QBs combined threw only one interception, seven fewer than the previous years spring game. RB Jarvis Giles had an impressive day as well. Giles ran for 114 yards and two scores. The running game, which struggled in the previous season, was solid. The teams combined for 254 yards on the ground, averaging an impressive 7.3 yards per rush.
