Maryland linebacker plans USC visit

LB Dorian O’Daniel of Olney, MD is a strong lean to Clemson right now and will be at Saturday’s spring game, but he does not plan to make a commitment right now.

“I’m not sure about committing,” O’Daniel told Mike Farrell of Rivals.com following a recent combine at Virginia. “I’m still playing the field. I want to make my commitment at the Army All American Game. Clemson is my clear leader but I want to wait until the Army Game to announce.”

O’Daniel was at Clemson for a junior day in February and that visit turned him on to the Tigers. “It’s a homey environment, a college town,” O’Daniel told Farrell. “It was a real good first impression. I was high on Oklahoma with Coach Venables there. He’ll be there (Clemson) for a while and that’s a good feeling.”

O’Daniel also has an offer from USC and plans to visit the Gamecocks. “I’ve talked to their coaches a couple of times and they sound like they are happy to have me, but I want to get down there and talk to them in person,” he said. \

North Carolina, Auburn, Ohio State and Southern Cal are other schools O’Daniel said he wants to visit.
