OL Taylor Chambers of Irmo was at Clemson's spring game Saturday and is feeling confident an offer from the Tigers could be in his future.
"I got to talk a lot with coach (Robbie) Caldwell while I was up there and I'm feeling pretty good about it," Chambers said. "He told me I'm becoming a top target of theirs. If I can go up there and perform like I know I can during their camp, I think they're going to offer me."
As for the visit, Chambers in becoming more enamored with Clemson. "I've been there many times and each time I go, I like it more than the last time I was there," he said. "I got a chance to look at the academics this time and I was impressed. Also, they have a great family atmosphere. I know that every college football team is a family, but they take it very seriously up there."
Chambers heads to Virginia this weekend and believes he could return with an offer. He plans to stop at Wake Forest on his way to UVA. The Deacons are his sole offer at this time.
"I'm a 4.5 G.P.A student so I'm a candidate for a lot of Ivy League schools," Chambers added. "I like them too just not as much as Clemson, USC and Wake Forest." He did not name a leader.
