Speedy Florida DB has a USC offer

April 18, 2012

DB Justin Williams (6-0 175) of Port St. Lucie, FL is a burner with 4.3 speed in the forty. Wednesday he won the 200 meters in 21.2 and the 100 meters in 10.6 at his district track meet.

USC also was fast to jump on him with an offer. Gamecock recruiter Grady Brown was the first to offer. “Coach Brown really loves me,” Williams said. “He thinks we can make some magic. He loves my height, my speed and my long arms. I just talked to him Tuesday and he told me how he can’t wait to get me in for a visit.”

Williams has not taken any visits. He has offers from USC, Florida International and Massachusetts. He’s also drawing interest from Alabama, Oregon, West Virginia, Miami, North Carolina and others.

Williams likes USC, Alabama, North Carolina and Oregon the most and will wait until after his spring practice to make a decision. “I’m waiting to see what other offers I get,” he said.

Williams also wants to run track in college and that will be a factor in his decision.
