Former USC forward Anthony Gill will continue his basketball career at Virginia.
The Charlottesville Daily Progress reported on Monday that Gill contacted Virginia coach Tony Bennett Monday morning with the news. Gill made the decision after visiting Ohio State over the weekend.
Gill has a close friend who plays at Virginia and has wanted to go there for some time. Even if Darrin Horn had remained the coach at USC, Gill might very well have decided to transfer.
Gill was the Gamecocks third leading scoring last season at 7.6 points per game. He also averaged 4.7 rebounds per game. He played in all 31 games and started 26.
