South Carolina has two future skill players committed in the class of 2013, but several defensive prospects also play offense in high school. Below is a roundup of how they performed in Friday nights games.
... Quarterback Connor Mitch (Wakefield High/Raleigh, N.C.) threw four touchdowns in a 34-7 victory. Mitch has 948 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and three interceptions through three games.
... Running back Jamari Smith (Fletcher/Neptune Beach, Fla.) had seven carries for 108 yards and three rushing touchdowns in a 52-0 win.
... Athlete Jasper Sasser (Wolfson/Jacksonville, Fla.) had a touchdown reception in a 26-12 loss.
... Linebacker Larenz Bryant (Vance/Charlotte, N.C.) had 12 carries for 167 yards and a touchdown in 35-0 win. He has five rushing scores in three games.
... Defensive back Brendan Langleys (Kell/Marietta, Ga.) team did not play this week. In last weeks season opener, Langley had three carries for 95 yards, four receptions for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
... Defensive back Pharoh Cooper (Havelock/Havelock, N.C.), a quarterback in high school, was 7-of-10 for 241 yards and two touchdown passes in a 55-6 win. Cooper has five passing scores and two rushing touchdowns in three games.
... Linebacker Matt Rolin (Briar Woods/Asburn, Va.) sprained his ankle in practice and did not play Friday night. Rolin, also a tight end, caught two touchdowns last week.
