South Carolina has two future skill players committed in the class of 2013, but several defensive prospects also play offense in high school. Below is a roundup of how they performed in this weekend's games.
... Quarterback Connor Mitch (Wakefield High/Raleigh, N.C.) was 16-for-31 passing for 202 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 52-24 loss. Through seven games, Mitch has 33 touchdown passes.
... Linebacker Larenz Bryant (Vance/Charlotte, N.C.) had 15 carries for 40 yards in a 31-0 loss.
... Defensive back Brendan Langley (Kell/Marietta, Ga.) scored on a 38-yard touchdown run in a 41-10 loss.
... Defensive back Pharoh Cooper (Havelock/Havelock, N.C.), a quarterback in high school, threw one touchdown and ran for two more in a 34-7 win.
... Linebacker Matt Rolin (Briar Woods/Asburn, Va.) had 11 tackles, including five for loss, as his team won 35-6. Rolin, who also plays tight end in high school, did not play offense this week.
... Running back Jamari Smith (Fletcher/Neptune Beach, Fla.) did not play Friday because of a minor foot injury. His team won 51-0. He he is expected to return next weekend.
... Athlete Jasper Sasser (Wolfson/Jacksonville, Fla.) did not play this weekend as his team had a bye week.
