Around the SEC: College vs. NFL talk, a take on 'Bama vs. LSU

November 2, 2012

How’d we get started talking about the silly great college team vs. lousy NFL team debate again this week? Oh, that’s right, Steve Spurrier started it. Here, an Alabama columnist takes on the question, and has the right answer.

----------

Now back to college football. The biggest game of the year is Saturday in Baton Rouge, and here’s an interesting look at how Alabama and LSU prepare for each other.

----------

And more LSU. Tyrann Mathieu was in Florida talking to a high school team this week. It seems like any plans he had of returning to college football went out the window with his recent arrest.

----------

I am going to keep pushing Tommy Tomlinson stories on you until you all get on board with me about how good a writer he is. Here, he talks about being a fan. You won’t like his choice of team, but you’ll like the point.

----------

Ole Miss is worried about stopping Georgia’s “Gurshall”. The Rebels should take a page from South Carolina’s playbook and take an early 21-0 lead. Worked pretty good for the Gamecocks.

----------

Good look here at the fairness of the hurry-up offense.
