South Carolina has two future skill players committed in the class of 2013, but several defensive prospects also play offense in high school. Below is a roundup of how they performed in this weekend's games.
... Quarterback Connor Mitch (Wakefield High/Raleigh, N.C.) was 24-for-39 for 364 yards and five touchdowns and an interception in a 40-38 playoff win. Mitch has 58 touchdown passes on the season.
... Defensive back Pharoh Cooper (Havelock/Havelock, N.C.), who plays quarterback in high school, threw two touchdowns and returned a punt for a score in a 49-0 playoff win.
... Linebacker Larenz Bryant (Vance/Charlotte, N.C.), who also plays running back, ran for for 116 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-17 playoff victory.
... Running back Jamari Smith (Fletcher/Neptune Beach, Fla.) had 14 carries for 115 yards and a touchdown in a 42-7 win. Smith also had a 60-yard scoring reception.
... Defensive back Brendan Langley (Kell/Marietta, Ga.) scored twice in a 31-3 win.
... Athlete Jasper Sasser (Wolfson/Jacksonville, Fla.) is out for the season with a foot fracture.
