Around the SEC: Politics, race and football at Ole Miss

This is a fascinating story about how Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze had to do damage control after reports of students at the school held demonstrations protesting the reelection of President Barack Obama that included racial language. Freeze, who said the situation was overblown, had to get on the phone with recruits to address the situation.

So, it looks like Mark Richt might need hip replacement surgery after the season due to a long-ago swing set accident that happened when he was trying to impress his wife. When asked about the incident Wednesday, Richt got on a meeting room whiteboard and diagrammed the injury for media members.
