USC hosting basketball prospect

November 9, 2012

6-8 Tavario Miller of Houston is making an official visit to USC this weekend. The 240 pound Miller has taken four other official visits to Illinois State, Tulsa, Louisiana Tech and South Alabama.

Miller’s coach said the Gamecocks started to show serious interest in him in September. Tulsa and Illinois State are strong with him, according to his coach, but he wants to see how the USC visit goes before he makes a decision. He plans to sign in November.

Miller averaged 13.5 points and 11.2 rebounds per game last season and can play both forward positions. “He dominates inside,” coach Willie Patrick said. “He handles the ball well and can shoot the three. He runs the court well and is a good shot blocker.”
