USC hoops had two visitors this weekend

Published: November 11, 2012

The USC basketball team opened its season Sunday afternoon but before doing so coach Frank Martin spent the weekend selling his program to a pair of senior prospects.

6-8 Tavario Miller of Houston and 6-11 Amida Brimah of Miami made official visits to USC over the weekend.

Miller also has made official visits to Tulsa, Southern Illinois, South Alabama and Louisiana Tech. He left Columbia with the Gamecocks and Tulsa at the top of his list and he plans to sign this month.

"I liked the facilities and the coaches," he said. "I think Coach Martin is a really nice guy." Miller can play both forward positions and said Martin likes him as a small forward.

Brimah is not expected to sign until the spring. He has also visited La Salle. Auburn, Southern Miss and Florida International have also offered him.
