  • Oct. 6, 2012: South Carolina knocked down Georgia with two quick touchdowns. Ace Sanders delivered the knockout blow with a first-quarter punt return he took 70 yards for a touchdown to put USC up 21-0.   • Oct. 20, 2012: Things went south quickly for South Carolina against Florida, as Connor Shaw, surprised by a corner blitz, was stripped on the first play of the game, setting up a 2-yard scoring drive that gave Florida a 7-0 lead.   • Oct. 27, 2012: South Carolina beat Tennessee 38-35. Defensive end Jadeveon Clowney stopped a promising Volunteers' drive late in the game by stripping the ball from quarterback Tyler Bray.   • Nov. 17, 2012: USC and Wofford were tied at 7-7 with 12 minutes left, but the Gamecocks got a short field goal, a fourth-down stop, an 8-yard touchdown pass and a 31-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown in a 4:24 span to survive with a 24-7 victory.   • Nov. 24, 2012: Quarterback Dylan Thompson and defensive end Jadeveon Clowney combined to be game-changers for the Gamecocks.
