USC checks on linebacker target

January 17, 2013

USC linebackers coach Kirk Botkin is looking for at least two more linebackers for this class and Monday he met face to face with one of those targets, Skai Moore of Fort Lauderdale.

"It went great," Moore said. "He's a really cool guy, real enthusiastic. We had a good conversation."

Moore was also visited this week by Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Arkansas and Rutgers. He makes his official visit to USC this weekend with his grandfather. He has also visited Vanderbilt and has no other visits set but is looking at Arkansas or Tennessee for a visit. Rutgers also remains in the mix.

Moore does not have a favorite. "I'm evaluating each school equally," he said. He added that Vanderbilt has been making a strong push.

Moore said he wouldn't be surprised if he went all the way to Signing Day before making a decision.
