WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The Gamecocks have won the past two meetings with the Gators, sweeping the two games a season ago by a total of nine points. The past four meetings between the two teams have been decided by five points or fewer. ... A win over the Gators would give USC its best SEC start in Staley’s five seasons. ... USC has allowed more than 60 points in a game once this season. They are third in the country in scoring defense (47.8 ppg.). Florida ranks 18th in the country in scoring (74.2 ppg.). ... Ieasia Walker scored 24 points in the Gamecocks 66-59 win against LSU to top the 1,000-point mark for her career. ... South Carolina has used the same starting lineup in all 18 games this season. ... All four if Florida’s SEC games have been decided by six points or fewer. Their last game was a week ago when they dropped a 78-75 decision to Tennessee in overtime.
