USC likes Georgia cornerback

February 7, 2013

DB Grant Haley (5-10 180) of Atlanta attended USC's junior day and is very interested in the Gamecocks at this point.

"I liked it a lot," said Haley who has a Gamecock offer. "I liked the atmosphere and the stadium. Football seems like a priority. The coaches seem like they care about each player. I like coach Ward a lot. We're getting a better relationship. He knows what he's doing. If I go there, I'd have a chance to play."

Haley also has offers from Florida and Tennessee. Vanderbilt, Georgia, Duke, Georgia Tech and Alabama are showing interest. Haley said he might go to Georgia's junior day February 16th.

Haley said man coverage is one of his strengths. Last season he had 7 interceptions to go along with 40 tackles.
