There will be a full house to watch former USC baseball coach Ray Tanner be honored and the Gamecocks take on Liberty at 3 p.m. on Friday in the opening game of the 2013 baseball season.

The game is sold out, the Gamecock Athletics Ticket Office announced Wednesday.

It should be a fitting day for a reunion, according to new USC coach Chad Holbrook, who noted a special ceremony is on tap.

“It’s not just a regular ordinary Opening Day,” Holbrook said. “The things we have in store and plan to do to honor coach Tanner, his success here, and his tenure as our head coach is going to be a memorable experience for our players, our coaches and our entire program.”

Liberty is coached by former USC assistant Jim Toman.

Fans can still purchase standing-room tickets for Saturday and Sunday games.

To obtain single game tickets, fans can go online to gamecocksonline.com/tickets or call the ticket office at (803) 777-4274 or 800-4SC-FANS.

South Carolina set a record this year for season tickets with 5,835 sold.
