QB Barker sets two USC spring visits

February 25, 2013

Drew Barker

Quarterback Drew Barker of Hebron, Ky., attended Kentucky's junior day Saturday and will make two visits to South Carolina this spring.

"It was a good visit," he said of his time in Lexington. "The basketball game was fun. They are towards the top."

Barker has had USC and Tennessee at the top of his list, but he's wiped the slate clean for now.

"No favorites," he said. "I'm taking visits this spring and then will narrow it down."

He also has offers from Louisville, Purdue, Tennessee, North Carolina, Illinois, Cincinnati, Indiana, Ole Miss and Miami.

He will visit USC for a junior day March 22 and will stay through the 24th. And he plans to return for the Gamecocks' spring game weekend April 12-14.

Barker is the only quarterback that South Carolina has offered for the 2014 class.

Another quarterback who plans to attend USC's March 23 junior day is Tyler Harris of Blackshear, Ga.
