6-9 Demetrius Henry of Bradenton, FL has seen his season come to an end so now he's ready to move on with the final stage of his recruiting. Henry is down to USC, Miami and South Florida and will be scheduling his official visits to those schools in the next couple of weeks.
Henry said USC has been in constant contact. "I'm hearing from them about three or four times a week," Henry said. "It's a good situation. Coach Martin is a great coach. He can get the best out of you. And there's the chance to play early as a freshman."
Henry said the Gamecocks' poor record will have no impact on his view of them as he makes his decision. "I want to see how the schools are and how the fans are," he said. "I want to see how the people are around the school and how nice they are and if I can see myself at the school for the next four years." Henry plans to sign on the first day of the spring signing period which is April 17th.
This season he averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds and 2 rebounds a game despite a sore shoulder which he plans to have checked out soon by a doctor.
