USC has good shot at Maryland DE

February 25, 2013

USC and Clemson are two of the schools DE Jesse Aniebonam (6-5 235) of Olney, MD plans to visit this spring or summer. They are two of his dozen offers at this point. The others are Notre Dame, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Duke, Florida, Georgia Tech, Hawaii and Penn State. He has been to junior days at Maryland and Notre Dame.

Aniebonam has been in touch with Clemson and USC and is giving both a lot of thought. "I have not visited Clemson but I'm interested," he said. Aniebonam's teammate is Clemson signee LB Dorian O'Daniel. "I've talked to coach Swinney and a couple of the defensive coaches. I'm very interested in South Carolina. They are always putting D-ends into the NFL. They are one of my main interests. I've pretty much studied (Jadeveon) Clowney. I watch him a lot and how he runs his game. He's made them an attractive quality."

Aniebonam also plans to visit Georgia Tech, Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State. He does not have favorites.

Last season he had 51 tackles and 11 sacks.
