RB appreciates USC's continued interest

March 11, 2013

RB Wadzaire Blanc of Lake Nona, FL received a verbal offer from USC following his sophomore season. He missed his junior season due to a shoulder injury but still hears from the Gamecocks.

"Ever since I got hurt, pretty much everybody stopped talking to me except for South Carolina," said Blanc. "I talk to coach (Everette) Sands a lot. He just checks on me to see how I'm doing and tells me to make sure I'm doing well in the classroom."

The attention from USC has Blanc favoring the Gamecocks. "They just care about me," he said. "I won't forget that. We don't talk a lot about football. They just want to make sure I'm okay."

Blanc has not taken any visits this year and says he is focusing on getting healthy for his senior campaign. Florida Atlantic and Florida International are his other offers with interest from Clemson, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.
