Reggie Theus Jr.

Reggie Theus Jr. (6-6, 190) of Los Angeles signed with South Carolina on Wednesday, the first day of the spring signing period, his coach Harvey Kitani told the Los Angeles Times.

Theus Jr. is the son of former UNLV and NBA star Reggie Theus, who recently was named the head coach at Cal State Northridge.

The younger Theus made an official visit to USC last month. He was an all=league performer this season and averaged close to 18 points per game.

USC spring commitment guard Duane Notice of Toronto also signed his letter of intent with USC on Wednesday. The other spring commitment to this point, guard Jaylen Shaw, plans to sign next week.

Sindarius Thornwell, Desmond Ringer and Justin McKie have already signed with the Gamecocks.

Those six pledges plus transfer Tyrone Johnson will make seven new faces on Frank Martin's team this coming season.
