Berrios thinking highly of USC

April 23, 2013

WR Braxton Berrios of Raleigh remains a very hot commodity with Clemson and USC two of the schools going hard after him. He's visited Clemson and he was at USC's spring game.

Berrios said he enjoyed his recent day at USC and got a chance to see more of the campus. He's also attentive to what the Gamecocks are telling him. "They tell me they would use me like Ace Sanders and in the return game," Berrios said. "Coach Spurrier Jr. likes me for the slot."

Clemson offered Berrios about three weeks ago and immediately became a player. "They are making a good push," he said. "They are pushing their offense on me. They throw the ball. The numbers are really good. They would use me in the slot and in the return game."

Berrios has not pieced together a top five but will after the spring. He's expecting USC to visit this week or next and Clemson in May. "I would think USC and Clemson will be on my short list," he said. He does not have a favorite.

Some of his other offers are Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, NC State, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, Wake Forest, Maryland and East Carolina.
