Third baseman George Iskenderian is transferring out of the South Carolina baseball program, team officials confirmed.

The freshman from Englewood Cliffs, N.J., played in 15 games this season, starting nine of them, and he batted .257 in 35 at-bats with no home runs and six RBIs.

He did not play in a game after April 23, when he pinch-hit against Gardner-Webb.
