USC making push for Truitt

June 13, 2013

ATH Stanton Truitt (5-10 185) of Monroe, GA is friends with current USC commit LB Bryson Allen-Williams of Ellenwood, GA and says that Allen-Williams "is talking to me a lot about South Carolina." Truitt has built a good relationship with several Gamecocks coaches to include defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward.

"They're recruiting me to play defensive back,"said Truitt. "I've been there a couple of times and I like it. I'm pretty interested in the Gamecocks."

Truitt was at the Arkansas game last season and returned for the junior day. "I love it," he said. "I like what they're doing there."

He has also visited Florida, North Carolina, NC State, Auburn and Arizona State among other schools. Truitt will take "two to three" more visits this summer before narrowing his list. He would like to make a commitment prior to his senior season and did not name a leader.

His offers include USC, Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky, Arizona State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Nebraska, Missouri, Stanford, NC State, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Tennessee, Virginia and Boston College among others.
