Recruiting notes: Georgia QB camps at USC

A few items of Gamecock recruiting interest from Friday afternoon.

... QB Tyler Harris of Blackshear, GA attended USC’s camp Friday morning and threw in front of Steve Spurrier and GA Mangus. He’s hoping his showing will lead to an offer. He has offers from Mississippi State, South Florida and Troy.

... 2017 DB Savalas Cann of Bamberg-Ehrhardt, the brother of USC OL AJ Cann, was offered by USC after the Friday morning camp session. He was offered earlier in the summer by North Carolina and NC State.

... Bamberg-Ehrhardt 2015 DE Sammie Davis has offers from UNC and NC State, and OL Drew Wilson also was offered by UNC and NC State in camp earlier this summer.

... DL Abu Lamin of Fort Scott JC, KS arrived in Columbia Friday to begin his official visit. Lamin is a native of Fayetteville, NC. He visited Florida officially last weekend and has also been to Auburn and Arkansas. He’s also looking at Arizona State or Tennessee for a visit after this weekend.

... DB DJ Smith of Marietta, GA told 247Sports that Clemson and USC are his leaders but won’t make a decision until Signing Day. Smith is not attending any summer camps. He visited USC last weekend and plans to visit USC and Clemson again this summer. He will also attend the Georgia-Clemson game. Some of his other offers are Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, North Carolina and Notre Dame.
