South Carolina senior quarterback Connor Shaw has NFL aspirations after this season is finished, and he would be willing to change positions to make that happen.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Shaw said. “I feel like I am athletic enough and smart enough to play any position on the field.”

The 6-foot-1, 204-pounder has completed 67 percent of his passes for 3,627 yards, 32 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 30 games. He has rushed for 1,125 yards. Whether he’ll have a chance to play football after this season is yet to be determined, but Shaw thinks he’ll put up his best audition tape this season.

“I think it’s hard to grade me on last year just because I was injured most of the year,” he said. “I think it depends on how good a year I have.”

He expects it to be a very good year, for him and for the Gamecocks.

“I think it’s Atlanta or bust,” Shaw said. “We have to get to the SEC Championship and we have to take advantage of that. We have the team to do it this year.”
