Huggins has some July visits

July 8, 2013

Clemson, USC and SC State are among the early offers for Class of 2015 DL Albert Huggins (6-4 279) of Orangeburg-Wilkinson. Huggins visited Clemson in June where he got a chance to talk to the coaches about their plans for him. "I love the coaching staff up there," said Huggins. "They treat me like I'm one of their (children). I got to talk to coach (Dabo) Sweeney about how I would fit in and the importance of a good education."

Huggins has been to a game at USC, but has not taken a visit that has given him a chance to see the school in more detail. "It's a huge stadium and a great environment," he said of USC. "I need to get up there and learn more about their academics."

Huggins expressed interest in USC and Clemson but says he is "keeping an open-mind." He will visit Florida in July for Friday Night Lights and plans to visit Georgia and Alabama this summer as well.

His other offers include Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisville, NC State, Georgia and North Carolina. He does not have any favorites.
