After a long day on Tuesday, Jadeveon Clowney will have an even longer one Wednesday.

South Carolina’s junior defensive end is scheduled to board a plane at 8 a.m. Wednesday and fly to Los Angeles for the 2013 ESPY Awards, where Clowney’s tackle of Michigan running back Vincent Smith – otherwise known as The Hit – is up for Best Play of the sporting year.

The awards show will be shown live at 9 p.m. and fans can vote until that time at ESPN.com/espys/2013. Clowney spent Tuesday at SEC Media Days, leaving Hoover, Ala., after 8 p.m. Eastern time to fly back to Columbia.
