Connor Shaw didn’t receive enough votes to make the preseason All-SEC team, but he did boast something over the other eight quarterbacks who attended SEC Media Days.

He was the only one who has jumped out of a plane.

The other eight were each asked over three days in Hoover if they’ve ever skydived, as Shaw did on June 22. Each said no, although some had a quantifier.

James Franklin, Missouri: “No, but I would like to.”

Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M: “No, not yet. It’s on my bucket list.”

Zach Mettenberger, LSU: “No, but I’ve been trying to. I haven’t been able to find the time yet.”

Aaron Murray, Georgia: “No. I’m scared of heights. My sister has been bugging me to do it.”

A.J. McCarron, Alabama: “No. I don’t like heights.”

Florida’s Jeff Driskel, Ole Miss’ Bo Wallace and Mississippi State’s Tyler Russell each just said no.
