1. Tell us about your personality as compared to Dylans personality.
We work well together. Hes kind of a goofy guy at times, and Im more of a focused guy and it works for us. We complement each other very well. We will be in the meeting room or the film room and we are to draw something up and Coach (Steve) Spurrier is saying something, Dylan will make a comment to try to get me to laugh. I cant help it, I have to cover my mouth sometimes so I dont start laughing. Thats just the kind of guy he is.
2. How confident are you that you can get through 12 games healthy this year?
Very confident. If I wasnt, that would be my fault. I am not going to change the way I play. People ask if I going to change because I have gotten hurt in the past, but I am not going to pay too much attention to that. I am going to play the best I know how.
3. What are your expectations for this season?
I think its Atlanta or bust. We have to get to the SEC Championship and we have to take advantage of that. We have the team to do it this year. We realize what our goals are and we have a lot of good veterans that have played since their freshmen year and we are ready to take that to the next level. In the SEC, everybody has talent and its very equal talent. I think the biggest thing is the team camaraderie and this is the best its been since I have been here. We just jell together very easily. When that happens, it makes it easier on the field. Everybody trusts each other and will fight for each other and have each others back. I think thats step one and of course you have to go out there and execute.
4. Whats it like being exposed to all the hysteria surrounding defensive end Jadeveon Clowney?
Its not distracting. Honestly, I dont think we have paid much attention to it and I know he doesnt. He does his own thing, still shows up and works hard like he should. I dont think it fazes us at all. We know how good he is. We know he gets exposure and its only helped our program. We dont let that faze us at all.
5. Spurrier seems as excited this season as hes been in his nine years. Does the team sense that?
I think the team can tell and I think he has every right to be excited because we have a good group of guys who can make some noise this season.
