Fitzpatrick staying in touch with USC

September 17, 2013

DB Minkah Fitzpatrick of Jersey City, NJ was recently named one of the early five-star prospects for the 2015 Class by Rivals and named the 2015 Class Recruit-of-the-Week by another publication. He has offers from across the nation, to include USC, and has maintained contact with the Gamecocks.

"I still talk to G.A. Mangus a lot and I've watched all of their games," he said. "I'm trying to get down there for a game but with my schedule and my parents schedule, it's kind of tough."

Fitzpatrick has not attended any games this season but says that could change soon. "I'll probably go to a Rutgers game because it's so close to home." Fitzpatrick said. "I may go to the Penn State-Ohio State game. I want to go to either a South Carolina game or a Florida State game before the season ends." He did attend a camp in Columbia over the summer and is showing interest in the Gamecocks.

His other offers include Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State, Connecticut, Rutgers, Boston College, Stanford, Virginia, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Syracuse.

In his first two games this season, Fitzpatrick has an interception for a touchdown, two pass deflections and over 100 yards receiving.

He does not have a favorite.
