USC eyeing another Tampa area speedster

September 30, 2013

ATH RayRay McCloud (5-9 175) of Tampa has been to Clemson twice for camps and has an offer from the Tigers, as well as one from USC. He also has offers from Florida, Arizona, Kentucky, Louisville, Ole Miss, South Florida, Tennessee and Wisconsin. This season he's been to games at Florida and South Florida.

McCloud has fond memories of his camp visits to Clemson. "Got a tour of the campus and it was real nice," he said. "It's a football town." McCloud said Tiger assistants Mike Reed and Tony Elliott are recruiting him and are showing a lot of interest.

He's hearing from USC recruiter GA Mangus as well. "He wants me to come to a game," he said. "He said I can help them on offense and defense." McCloud plans to visit USC and Clemson at some point.

He does not have favorites and won't make a decision at the earliest until the beginning of next season. Last season McCloud rushed for 1383 yards and 13 touchdowns.
