USC to be final stop for Buford

October 28, 2013

6-7 Dante Buford of Jacksonville, FL made official visits to Miami and Oklahoma last week and will take his third and final official visit this weekend to USC. "He said he liked both visits, they were both good," Buford's coach Rex Morgan said Monday afternoon.

The coach added that Buford has not told him he's favoring a school at this point and will wait until after this weekend's visit to begin the process of finalizing his decision which he plans to make before the beginning of the November signing period November 13th. "He'll sit down with his mother when he gets back and talk about things over," Morgan said. "Where he feels the most comfortable," Morgan said will be the key factor in his decision.

Buford is a native of Simpsonville and his coach does feel the fact he is a South Carolinian will work some in the Gamecocks' favor. USC coach Frank Martin has made several visits to Jacksonville to see Buford. Morgan said he's not heard from Martin as to whether or not he'll visit this week before Buford visits Columbia.
