OL Kareem Are of Fort Scott JC, KS said Monday he could be ready to make his decision soon after he makes his official visit to USC this weekend. Are has also visited Florida State and Penn State.
He has thought about visiting Ole Miss but that seemed less likely Monday. 'I've got a lot of school work," Are said. "I'm enjoying all the visits but I've got to get caught up on all my work."
Are said he enjoyed his visit to Penn State, as he did when he went to Florida State the previous weekend. He went alone on those visits and will travel solo to USC.
He talked with Gamecock recruiter Deke Adams Monday. "He let me know they are excited for me to be there and it's going to be a great game," Are said. "I'm excited to be going there and hopefully the experience is great. I should have an idea about what I'm going to do after that. I'll talk to my mom about it and make my decision. To be honest, right now I don't have a leader. I'm looking for an opportunity to compete for a starting job, that's the main thing."
