-- Defensive back DJ Smith of Marietta, Ga., told Rivals.com that he is down to USC and Tennessee, eliminating Clemson. Smith said his desire to play in the SEC is why he cut the Tigers. Smith will announce his decision Monday but will take his official visits after that. He goes to USC January 17th and Tennessee on the 24th. The story indicated Smith is favoring the Gamecocks. Smith will announce his choice on a 10 pm recruiting show on Fox Sports South called "Next Class 2014."

-- Defensive back Wesley Green of Lithonia, Ga., has been down to USC and Georgia for some time. He told UGAsports.com he will take an unofficial visit to Georgia this weekend. However, because it’s a dead period, he can’t have in-person contact with the coaches. He has an official visit set with USC for January 17th and will take an official visit to Georgia January 24th or 31st.

-- Running back Derrell Scott of Havelock, NC, told the Wolfpacker.com today that USC and Tennessee are his top two right now, with NC State just behind. Florida is also in the picture after offering him last week. Scott has taken official visits to USC, Tennessee and NC State and will visit Florida this month.
