Defensive lineman Dexter Wideman of Saluda is back home following his official visit over the weekend to Florida State.
Wideman has been committed to the Seminoles but he confirmed to his coach Sunday night that he's giving USC equal consideration.
"I would say status quo on a National Signing Day announcement at 3 p.m.," coach Stewart Young said. "He said he had a really good time on his visit."
Wideman committed to Florida State last summer but USC has continued to recruit him. Wideman has kept the door open for the Gamecocks, and the chance of a Signing Day flip does exist.
Young also said his defensive lineman Kwamelle Barnes will sign Wednesday with SC State.
