Did you know?

She’s talented in other ways beside dribbling the ball.

“I played the violin for seven years. ... I pick it up every once in a while when I go home, because it’s not here. I started in fifth grade, and I stopped my 12th-grade year because I switched schools and I was focusing a lot more on basketball.”

Barbecue in Texas is beef. In South Carolina, it’s pork. Was that an adjustment?

“Not that long, because, to be honest, I eat a lot. A lot. It’s to where I get happy and dance when I eat.”

Smooth and gliding in games doesn’t equal it in practice.

“I’m always falling. There’s never a practice where I haven’t fallen or gotten a bruise or a scratch. I’m bumping into practice players, tripping over lines, something.”

Not much confusion with two Tiffanys on the team.

“My dad used to call me ‘Slim’ because I was really tall when I was smaller. I had long arms that reached down to my knees. Coming in, finding out there’s another Tiffany, I told them to just call me ‘Slim.’ The only person that doesn’t is coach (Lisa) Boyer. She calls me ‘Tiff.’ ”
