Gamecocks hold onto No. 1 spot in Baseball America poll

South Carolina stayed put at No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 after winning two of three games against Ole Miss.

The Gamecocks (18-1) are trailed by Florida State, Virginia, Oregon State, Louisiana-Lafayette and Vanderbilt in the weekly ranking, released Monday.

Kentucky (14-6), the next weekend SEC foe on the USC schedule, dropped out of the Top 25 after losing two of three to Alabama.

The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings.
