Rising senior WR Michael Bowman (6-0 195) of Havelock, NC and his brother, rising junior WR Kyran Bowman (6-1 175), will announce college commitments on Thursday morning at 8:15 at the school.

Michael Bowman said Tuesday night he made his decision between USC and NC State. His brother chose between USC, North Carolina and East Carolina.

"It came down to what was best for me and my family," the older Bowman said, adding he will inform the schools on Wednesday. "The offense and the coaches (stood out). I feel good about myself now. I know it was the right decision."

USC was the early leader for Bowman but NC State made a strong run to catch up. He went to games at both last season.

"My uncle said NC State is a good school and a good education. ... He went there,." Bowman said. "And South Carolina, Pharoh [Cooper] makes it seem good up there and the offense and the coaches."

Bowman said he does not know his brother's decision and he's not sure what procedure they will use to make their announcement on Thursday morning.

Last season Bowman caught 52 passes for 972 yards and 11 touchdowns in helping his team win a state championship.
