Giella lands another big SEC offer

March 19, 2014

LSU is the latest to offer OL Zach Giella of Augusta. He will visit Baton Rouge April 5th for their spring game. Two other schools could be close to offering him as well. Giella will visit Auburn Thursday and Florida State April 7th. He said offers could come on each visit.

"Auburn told me they're close to offering me but that they wanted to see me in person (before extending an offer)," Giella said. "FSU told me the same thing. I don't want to get my hopes up but I am looking forward to those visits to see what they have to offer."

The interest from the two programs is welcomed from Giella who said, "FSU just won a national championship so obviously things are going well there. Auburn was right there too. They're a strong SEC program that has a lot to offer."

With more interest, Giella intends to take a look at each program. This, however, has not deterred his interest in USC. "I still hear from them almost every day," he said. "They stay in contact with me and let me know how much they want me. I get a letter from them almost every day. Obviously, it's a good program and it's close to home. The next thing I want to see there is how they run a practice. I'm going to try to get up there this spring."

Michigan is the most recent program to begin showing interest along with Stanford. His offers are from USC, LSU, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Duke and Missouri. He did not name any favorites.
