With four current offers and a couple of visits remaining, OL TJ Haney of Gaffney plans to announce his commitment April 4th. Haney's most recent offer came two weeks ago while attending a junior day at Wake Forest.
"It was good visit," he said. "They have a great program. I loved it up there. I love the new head coach."
One of his next visits before announcing will be to USC March 29th. Haney is hopeful of an offer but admits he does not want to get his hope too high.
"They've been showing interest and want me to come down to talk to me in person," Haney said. "I would love an offer from them but I won't be too disappointed if they don't offer me. They have told me they like me as a student and as a player. If they do offer, they'll be in my top two."
Haney did not divulge any favorites but did say he likes Vanderbilt a lot. He plans to visit Nashville once more before making a decision. The Commodores appear very strong with Haney. "I love them and they love me," he said simply. "It's a great program up there with a lot to offer."
His offers are from Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Marshall and Old Dominion. Haney said he would like to visit ODU but did not have a date set.
