Two major hoops recruits to visit USC the next few days

April 10, 2014

Josh Cunningham

USC basketball coach Frank Martin and his staff will entertain two highly regarded prospects over the next few days. Scheduled to arrive in Columbia on Friday is 6-6 Josh Cunningham of Chicago. And slated to visit with the Gamecocks Monday and Tuesday is 6-7 Cinmeon Bowers of Chipola JC, FL.

Cunningham is one of the top unsigned seniors for the 2014 class and he will announce his decision April 18th. He has taken official visits to Iowa State, Creighton, Oklahoma and Northwestern. He is also considering Indiana, Butler, Bradley and Minnesota.

Cunningham led his team to a state championship this season.

Bowers is a native of Wisconsin who appeared to be headed to Memphis out of high school before signing with Florida State at the last moment. He had to detour to the junior college where he reopened his recruiting this spring. Bowers will visit Auburn this weekend before heading to USC.

Bowers is one of the highest rated available junior college players available for the spring signing period. He averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds per game this season.
