Gamecocks tumble in new Baseball America Top 25

South Carolina dropped eight spots in the latest Baseball America Top 25 after the weekend series loss to unranked Georgia.

The Gamecocks (35-13) fell to No. 17 in the poll released on Monday. USC has lost three of its last five weekend series.

The team plays Wofford on Wednesday at Carolina Stadium before hosting Missouri this weekend.

Virginia remained at No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 for the fourth straight week.

The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings.
